The Ride 2020
Modified Event Launches With Ultimate in Safety
June 30th, 2020 | The Ride
MADISON, WIS. –
The Ride, which has powered over $1.2 million in cancer research and patient treatment initiatives since 2016 at the University of Wisconsin will adjust its event in 2020 to eliminate the risk associated with congregating masses of individuals amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although The Ride’s centralized gathering celebration will not occur in 2020, participants will still have the opportunity to ride one of the many catered route options (100 Mile, 100K, 50K, 25K) in an individualized manner while following new protocol which will place a priority on participant health and safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.* The course will contain new roadside displays which will enhance the rider experience and shed a light on the significant impact The Ride participants have made in UW cancer research and patient treatment initiatives.
Alternatively, individuals may also partake in The Ride virtually as part of the new “Global Program” which allows individuals worldwide to contribute to the mission which continues to make great strides in cancer discovery and translation to new treatment paradigms at the University of Wisconsin. Participants will select one of the ride distances to accomplish remotely.
Individualized On-Course Experience
