The Ride Announces 2021 Event Date
December 21st, 2020 | The Ride
Madison, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin announces The Ride, a benefit for cancer research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center will occur on Sunday, September 26, 2021. The event will take place at the American Family Insurance National Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Ride has seen significant success since its inaugural year in 2016 which has helped raise over $1.3M for cancer research and patient treatment at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. The event features disciplines and route distances for all ages and abilities.
In addition to the traditional bike routes (100 Mile, 100K, 50K, 25K, 5K), The Ride will be incorporating a new Run/Walk alternative in 2021. It will feature a 13.1 mile half-marathon for runners as well as a 5K run/walk route for all abilities.
Although we know most of our community members have been touched by cancer one way or another, we also are aware that not everyone owns or rides a bike. That is why we are creating an alternative run/walk option, so everyone has the opportunity to participate in our mission to conquer cancer at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
